One of President Obamas devices to cut national expenses has fallen short another time. The projected $2 trillion savings suggestion that was announced and praised a few months ago has fallen short by several hundred billion dollars. Health industry officials still claimed success in producing solid proposals in time for a deadline put in place by the President where they promised to cut their own expenses to help his plan for wellbeing care reform. Obama required a progress report by early June and the main five industry groups and one work union delivered it yesterday. They sent the President a letter along with a succession of cost-savings proposals in which they claimed they could rack up $1 trillion to $1.7 trillion in savings over a decade. What you have seen is the coming as one of some really unlikely bedfellows and it really is incredibly important. This is a very serious mutual effort, said Dr. Nancy Nielsen, head of the American Medical Association.

The 3D mouse
There were many crazy gadgets in the past that competed for the title of 3D mouse but this seems to be the best we've seen yet. This award winning device was developed by five WPI undergraduates as their major qualifying project and it really looks revolutionary. What it really does is to measure the time it takes for the ultrasound emitted by the finger transmitter to reach the five receivers and by doing that it measures the distance between each receiver and the transmitter, and all this happens every 16 milliseconds. The small receiver is a one inch by one inch finger ring weighting 10 grams and the lithium-polymer battery can power the device for more than two weeks of non-stop use.
